Festival area and TENT CITY are separated at ZÜRICH OPENAIR, but you can easily get from one area to the other. Please show your wristband at the entrance.

Opening hours

FESTIVAL ACCESS: from Friday 12:00 to Sunday 22:00
WEEKEND ACCESS: from Saturday 09:00 to Sunday 22:00
FRIDAY, SATURDAY or SUNDAY ACCESS: from 09:00 to 05:00 of the next day, respectively 22:00 on Sunday.

The festival area is open from Friday 12:00 until Sunday 22:00.

Wristband

Exchange your ticket for a wristband and gain access to the festival area. There is an exchange-desk at the welcome-area near tram stop Bäuler and also at the airport. Please have your ID ready, so that we can check your age. Your wristband has to be close-fitting. Please take care of your wristband, since we don't replace lost wristbands and we don't accept them damaged or loose. Wristbands are intransferable.

Wheelchair user

In front of the main stage is a platform especially for wheelchair users and their accompanying person. Although we try to make the festival convenient for everyone, we'd like to remind you, that ZÜRICH OPENAIR takes place at open country. If it rains, the paths might not be drivable anymore.

Caravans and VW-Busses

Because of not having a driveway, vehicles of this type aren’t allowed at TENT CITY.

Alcohol and youth protection

To simplify the control at the selling of drinks, we use different wristbands. Please have your ID ready, so we can classify you into three categories: till 16, 16+ and 18+. If you don't have an ID, you'll get a till 16 wristband and you are only allowed drinking soft drinks.

Beverages

We only admit taking 3 litres of beverages in tetra packs or PET bottles (no aluminium or glass) to TENT CITY. You can buy beverages at a shop for special terms. There are no brought drinks allowed at the festival area.

Shopping

There are lots of food stands and bars at the area, as well as a hairdresser, a tattoo and piercing studio and several stands with souvenir, clothing and jewellery.

Recycling and environment

One reason why ZÜRICH OPENAIR is absolutely wonderful is the stunning location surrounded by nature. Please help us to keep the area clean by using bins for rubbish and returning tumblers and dishes to refund stations. If you do so, you'll get 2 CHF back for each tumbler or dish. Put all your rubbish at TENT CITY in a bin bag, which you get with a chip at the entrance. Return bag and chip at the end of your stay and get 5 CHF back. We want to avoid huge piles of rubbish, therefore aluminium and glass isn't allowed.

Banned objects

At the whole area glass, cans, fireworks and dangerous objects like weapons are strictly forbidden. There are security controls at the entrance. You have to hand off things at the entrance? Be aware, that we won't store them.

Photo, video and sound recordings

Please leave your professional equipment at home. Filming, sound recording or taking pictures with a professional camera isn't allowed. Of course taking snapshots with a small camera isn't a problem at all.

Information

There are lots of people ready to help. So just contact them or have a look at the information desk, if you have any questions. By the way, earplugs are also available at the information desk.

Lost and found items

Lost and found items will be received and stored at the information desk. On Wednesday, 1st September, all found items will be given to the official lost-and-found-office in Rümlang. If you miss something, contact them.

Emergency

The Emergency medical service at TENT CITY and the festival area will be there for you day and night.

Children

Admission is free for children till the age of twelve (a valid ID has to be shown at the entrance). Children have to be accompanied by adults.

Animals

Please leave your pets at home. There are no animals allowed at the festival area and TENT CITY.
