Warren Fischer and the video-artist and experimental theatre artist Casey Spooner name Fischerspooner, a duet formed in New York in 1998. Essentially they do not follow pre-established patterns and they combine extreme electro pop tendencies (Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode in their beginnings, Gary Numan, among others) with programmation. Four years after ?Odyssey? (2005) Fischerspooner have launched ?Entertainment?, just released at the beginning of May through Lo Recordings. A very sophisticated third album inspired in the Eastern culture with some touches of the spatial era.

In ?Entertainment?, they follow the way they chose after their debut ?#1? with more synth pop, disco influences, electroclash, spoken word and enough experimentation to explore new fields. Produced by Jeff Saltzaman, well-known for his works with The killers, Sounds and Black Keys, it includes two singles previously edited: ?The Best Revenge EP? y ?Danse En France?, together with eight new tracks.

Just before the 2009 Southfest, Casey Spooner spoke about his life in New York, about the music he listens to, his favourite designers and offered a useful advice to all those who dream about living out of music: ?They better study Economics before?. Born in Brooklin he speaks about the advantages and disadvantages of the big city, specially in the artistic field: ?I love the artist community always working hard in New York. It´s a hard place to live but I think that can be good. You have to wonder why you are here and what you are doing everyday. That makes all of them to be together and strong. But I always need more space and I would love to be surrounded by nature?.

He also tells about Internet as his source to listen to new music and, when choosing some of his favourite songs he stays with ?Nick Cave Dolls? by Bongwater; ?Fear Us?, by SSION and ?C?est Comme Ça? by Les Rita Mitsouko?. Despite this, he believes there is nobody nowadays doing anything really innovative and breaker. Spooner speaks about fashion and his favourite designers: ?Oh, they are many: Raf Simons, Riccardo Tisci, Gareth Pugh, Rick Owens, Italo Zucchelli, Romain Kremer, etc..." And, the most important, he gives a very useful advice for those who plan to carve out their own path in the music world: ?First of all, they better get first a degree in Economics and Business. Nobody teaches anything about business when you study Arts. I had to learn many lesson in the hardest way?.
