Vetusta Morla and their self-edited "Un día en el mundo" has been the revelation album of last 2008 in Spain. After obtaining the three awards they aspired for in the Spanish music awards celebrated last March, they are now the stars again with five nominations for the independent music awards organized by the UFI (Independent Phonographic Union). The band from Madrid is nominated for the best rock album, best song for "Valiente", best artist in general and best revelation artist.

The UFI has started with the first edition of these awards with the aim of continuing launching the independent industry, more and more active in our country. In fact, there are more than 200 independent labels that have presented 400 new works last 2008. Of all of them, the professional jury has selected the 5 nominated for each category and the winners will be decided through the audience?s votes.

Vetusta Morla will compete for the album of the year with El Guincho, Manel, Depedro and Klaus & Kinski. The full nominated list can be checked at www.myspace.com/premiosufi and the delay for voting is opened until next June 15th.
